چکیده
Research on pre-deformation influences material properties in multistep hot forming is of important scientific interest. In this paper, tensile tests at 850 °C and a strain rate 0.001 s−1 were performed to study the microstructural evolution mechanical Ti-6Al-4V with pre-strains 0.05, 0.1 0.15. The test results showed that specimen 0.05 pre-strain exhibited higher flow stress larger elongation. Additionally, increasing resulted decrease ultimate strength (UTS) elongation (EL). EBSD main deformation mechanism was high-angle grain boundary sliding. Pre-strain promoted dynamic recrystallization (DRX) by substructure. refinement grains eradication dislocations enhanced deformability, resulting an increase stress.

Effect of Molten Pool Size on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V Alloy
Wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) technique is a cost-competitive and efficient technology to produce large structure components in industry domains. Mechanical properties are mainly dominated by the microstructure of the components, which is deeply affected by the molten pool size. In this work, to investigate the effect of the molten pool size on microstructure and mechanical properties ...

متن کاملTensile fracture during transformation superplasticity of Ti–6Al–4V
During thermal cycling through the a–b phase transformation under the action of a small external biasing stress, Ti alloys exhibit an average deformation stress exponent of unity and achieve superplastic strains. We report tensile experiments on Ti–6Al–4V with an applied stress of 4.5 MPa, aimed at understanding the failure processes during transformation superplasticity. The development of cav...
متن کاملEffect of Laser Spot Welding Variables on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of the Ti-6AL-4V to AISI304 Dissimilar Joint
In this project, joining Ti-6Al-4V and AISI 304 dissimilar plates by laser-spot-welding method has been studied. In this regard, Ti-6Al-4V and AISI 304 plates, with a thickness of 0.7 and 0.5 respectively, were lap-welded using an interlayer of 0.2 & 0.3 mm copper and silver (pure silver). The process was done by 400Watt pulsed laser (Nd:YAG) using oncentric spot welding with 4mm diameter circl...
